Axel Dreyer is a partner at Schürmann Rosenthal Dreyer Attorneys. He represents and advises clients, including well-known national and international companies, in all areas of intellectual property law and related legal fields. Axel Dreyer specialises in the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of IP rights and the defence of claims of intellectual property rights. In addition, he consults on intellectual property strategies. Axel Dreyer also represents clients in preliminary injunction proceedings, such as designing licensing agreements for large industrial and consumer fairs.

Axel Dreyer is also solely responsible for pioneering new methods in patent law (BGH GRUR 2011, 701 – occlusion) and trademark law (BGH GRUR 2011 1142 – PROTI I;. Justice, GRUR Int, 2013, 1138 – Rintisch / OHIM). He has also led the way for several competition law procedures.

In addition to his work at the Schürmann Rosenthal Dreyer, Axel Dreyer lectures in Intellectual Property and IT Law at the College of Economics and Management (FOM) in Essen and Düsseldorf.
